SNOW DAY!

The winter weather storm hit middle Tennessee at around 10 am with a vengeance. The weather is so bad that the Governor closed all State offices at Noon. This is the 2nd time this has happened in my 25 year career with the State. Here are a few shots that I took when I got home. In the time it took me to download the pictures and compose this post the snow had covered all evidence of our excursion outside. It is snowing so hard now that we are in near white-out conditions. I feel like I'm living in Idaho again! Sure am glad I went to the grocery store before work today! My husband works in a near-by town. He will be camping at his Mom's house tonight! Think I'll put on a big pot of chili!

Wow you guys have a lot more than we do! Right now we're just getting sleet, yuck. Schools are closed early though, so we're all warm and cozy at home. Chili sounds like a great idea!

Aw, that's just a little dusting. Now, when you can't see the corgis in the yard, just follow their progress by the moving snow mounds, THEN you've got snow. ;-)

Enjoy hunkering down with the dogs and the chili!

Great snow pictures! Sounds like a cozy day. Have a bowl of chili for me. :)

I guess a snow like that is a big treat for southern Cardis! There must have been a whole lot of zooming going on!

Enjoy your snow day. I used to love them when I was teaching. Now, I am getting annoyed at them.

Stay warm, Laura. The good part of living south is that the snow should disappear soon.

Mugen has been loving the snow too. We went out for a walk in in a big grassy area behind the house and the track disappeared way too quickly for here.

AWWWW... they are so cute in the snow. Figured y'all were getting a storm. I've been riding Norm around with me in the rain most of the day. No Ice/Snow here yet but I am not counting it out.
