COUNTDOWN TO PUPPIES!

Two weeks and counting until Jill's due date. She is finally looking as if she is pregnant. It is hard for me to Judge as Kate and Star have both presented us with 7-8 puppies each time. It appears Jill's litter is smaller. How much smaller - hard to tell. Guess we will find out when she goes for her pre-whelp X-ray on March 8th. I would be tickled with 4-5 puppies and PLEASE - all healthy with no problems. I don't know if I could take another bad experience. I am still heartbroken over the loss of 5 puppies from our last litter, Guess the old adage is true - whelping is not for the feint of heart!

Baby bumps!

My Goodness - It's day 36 and I do believe I detect a Baby Bump (or is it baby bumps) in our Jill. She is due March 12 and looks as if this will be a small litter. As often happens in breeding, our plans changed at the last minute and Jill was bred to CH. Grangefield Aberdovey Valentino (Rudy). Rudy is a lovely red brindle boy and is the offspring of last year's national speciality winner - Lilly (CH Grangefield Aberdovey Limerick) and Nicky (CH Phi-Vestavia Neon Black). We are excited about this breeding and I can't wait to have puppies in the house again!
