Lyberty Cardigans is pleased to announce the arrival of 7 beautiful puppies. Proud parents are Ch Lyberty Rosie the Riveter x Ch Grangefield Rudolph Valentino. We have 5 girls and 2 boys. 3 of the girls are black and white the rest are all brindles. Rosie started with the first puppy around 6 am and delivered the last 2 via c-section late this afternoon. Sadly puppy number 8, a brindle girl, was still born.

Happy 11th Birthday to a very special boy.  Magic (Ch Pecan Valley Titan Blue Magic) was my first cardigan/show dog.  He started me down the wild and wonderful path of showing dogs.  Thanks to Magic I have made so many wonderful friends from all over the world and truly fell in love with this breed.  You will always be our "special boy" Mr. Magic Man and no one will ever replace you.  Thanks for passing your love of frapping and your sweet disposition on to all those that have come into our home.  Here's hoping you are with us for many more years!

Another Sad Day

CH Grangefield Kiss Me Kate
8/2/02 - 7/10/12

We helped our Sweet Kate cross the Bridge this afternoon.  She was just shy of her 10th birthday.  Katie was our foundation bitch.  Sue Stockslager took me to Shirley Hobbs' lovely home on the way to The Garden to get her.  I quickly fell in love with Kate and 1/2 brother Lego as well.  Kate immediately moved into our house and let everyone know she was in charge.  She adopted Rick as her favorite and was by his side when ever he was home.  Kate loved to show and finished with 3 majors, despite her "happy tail".  She produced three lovely litters for Lyberty and will always be first in our hearts.  Kate went down in her back on Monday.  We rushed her to Vet but to no avail.  She succumbed to massive organ failure and complete paralysis and we eased her suffering.  She was met at the bridge by her daughter Star (who also left us way to soon) and the others that have gone on before - Zack, Maggie and Rudy.  Rest well Miss Priss, you will be greatly missed.
we have lost 3 of our beloved pack in the last 9 months, please Lord....no more for awhile.

The puppies turned 2 weeks on Friday. The fat little squirts are all over 2 lbs (2 are nearing 3 lbs) and healthy as can be. They started staggering around the whelping box yesterday checking out their world with newly opened eyes. When I went to change their pad this afternoon, I found a puppy wrestling match in progress. I just can't get enough of watching them play. I can already tell I'm going to be late to work everyday....
